The Interplay of Wants and Needs: A Detailed Analysis

Self-esteem is not only a benefit that can produce our lives simpler and more enjoyable. It is a fundamental human need. In other words, self-esteem is anything that humans require to operate properly.

Most of us know that people require food, water, rest, and protection to survive. When you have maybe not got enough lux sleep or if you're eager you can find agitated and annoyed more easily or you might not manage to concentrate. Many people are aware of how these standard needs influence them, but somewhat few people understand that self-esteem is also a human need. Without self-esteem, you can't purpose in how you are supposed to.

Based on Maslow's hierarchy of individual needs, self-esteem is in the last layer of his pyramid of needs. In the bottom are probably the most basic physical wants such as breathing, food, water, and sleep.
