What are the most common types of sleep disorders?

A variety of problems that impact both the amount and quality of sleep are included in the most prevalent categories of sleep disorders. The inability to fall or remain asleep is known as insomnia, and it affects many people. Another common problem is sleep apnea, which is characterized by sporadic breathing disruptions during sleep. Uncomfortable leg feelings that are often eased by activity are caused by restless legs syndrome (RLS), which disturbs sleep. An abrupt sleep attack and excessive daytime drowsiness are symptoms of the neurological condition narcolepsy. Sleep-related abnormalities, such as sleepwalking and night terrors, are known as parasomnias. Disorders of the circadian rhythm interfere with the body's natural clock, affecting the sleep-wake cycle. Moreover, recurrent limb motions occur while you sleep if you have periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD). A multidisciplinary approach is typically necessary for the identification and treatment of these illnesses, and it may include medical intervention, lifestyle modifications, and, sometimes, behavioral therapy. Visit: Medzsquare
