Wordle derivatives include Quordle, Heardle, Lewdle, Moviedle, and Tay

Since its inception in October, Wordle has become an Internet phenomenon, drawing millions of daily players who attempt to predict a new five-letter word in a maximum of six tries.

However, the addicting word game now has a variety of other spin-offs, such as Quordle, which is more difficult than its predecessor, and Crosswordle, which has been described as a combination of Wordle and Sudoku.

Quordle

Quordle is a spin-off based on the premise of the original, and the same rules apply - each letter turns green if it is in the correct position, yellow if it is included in the word but not in the correct position, and grey if it is not included in the word at all.

Lewdle

As the name suggests, Lewdle is a word game similar to Wordle, however the correct answer is always inappropriate.

Lewdle is about nasty but clean fun, and most importantly, Lewdle does not use slurs. The makers want for the game to be insulting without really offending people. According to Lewdle's content notice, the game contains offensive language. Go play Wordle instead if you are likely to be offended by the use of profanity, vulgarity, or obscenity!"

Redactle Unlimited

Redactle Unlimited removes all of the unnecessary words from a random Wikipedia page. The objective is to guess the deleted words in order to decrypt the text and discover the topic of the Wikipedia page.

Dordle

Dordle was the predecessor of Quordle and was inspired by Wordle. Its mechanics are identical to Wordle, except instead of guessing a single word, players must simultaneously guess two words.

It is more difficult than Wordle, but not as difficult as Quordle.

Semantle

Semantle encourages players to guess the daily word or short phrase by guessing words whose meanings come closer and closer to the correct one.

In contrast to Wordle, the game focuses on semantics, or the meaning of the words.

Heardle

Heardle is a song-guessing game in which participants are challenged to identify the song after hearing just one second of its introduction.

Worldle

The everyday game for geography enthusiasts is Worldle. Each day, participants are given with a map of a nation or area and have six guesses to determine its identity.
